PRESS RELEASE / June 8, 2023 (Ipswich, MA) – True North Ale Company claimed multiple medals at the 2023 North American Brewers Association “International Beer Awards Excellence in Brewing” competition. In its 26th year, the NABA International Beer Awards has grown in size annually and is now one of the largest and most prestigious brewing competitions based in North America.
True North Ale Company was awarded a gold medal for BOAT SHOES English Summer Ale, adding to the two bronze medals that beer earned at NABA competitions in 2021 and 2022.
Four True North Ales beers won bronze medals. Launched in April as a year-round offering, STRAIGHT UP IPA earned its medal in one of the most competitive categories, American-Style India Pale Ale. VINCIANNE Belgian Blonde and CERVEZA Mexican Lager, two core brands, repeated as NABA medalists. And small batch specialty beer, BIERE BLANCHE, medaled in the Belgian-Style Wit (White) category.

True North Ale Company is located in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Opened in 2017, its beers have been poured in nearly 1,700 bars and restaurants and sold in more than 1,500 stores in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. The brewery has won major international awards, to include a Gold Award at the 2018 World Beer Cup, Gold and Bronze Medals at the 2021 Great American Beer Fest, and a Silver Medal at the 2020 Great American Beer Fest.
