What a beautiful day yesterday to be in the @notchbrewing Biergarten in Brighton for their annual Starkbierfest!

Chris Lohring was on hand to use the loggerhead poker to add a unique twist to a trio of strong beers which included a Doppelbock, a Helles Bock and a Rauch Bock.

When the poker, which reaches a temperature of about 1000°, is inserted into the steinkrug, it causes the beer to foam up and create a creamy texture and warming mouthfeel as well as a tasty marshmallow flavor.

They are doing Starkbierfest at their Salem location today 3/19 from
12 to 5p if you want to stop by and get poked!

What an amazing @massbeerweek, from visiting breweries, stamping passports and drinking collabs to roaming with the bison and cheersing so many fervent craft beer lovers from around the Bay State our arms are sore, we couldn’t have asked for a better time!

We want to thank all the breweries, establishments, package stores and patrons who put on events, promoted and highlighted #massmadebeer and raised pints to celebrate the incredible craft beer community we have here in Massachusetts. You throw one heckuva party!

And as always, a huge thank you to the @mabrewersguild for leading the way.

We were at the Mass Beer Week Brew Fest where 250 people over two sessions enjoyed local beer, live music, great food and a lot of fun to celebrate Massachusetts craft beer.

We visited @milkroombrewing in Rutland, Massachuse

We visited @milkroombrewing in Rutland, Massachusetts today. Not only is it a brewery, it is also a working bison farm.

In the warmer months you can hang out in the beer pasture drinking beer and see incredible live music. But they also have bison products that you can purchase to go along with their beer.

In addition they recently signed on with a distributor to get their beer out to more places and people.

Our @massbeerweek Tuesday continues at @brewtruewest for beer and mac n cheese flights!

They paired their beers with mini Mac n cheese bowls that included Fotina Pepperoncini and Tomato Mac, Buffalo Mac and Cheese with Bleu cheese, Carmelized Onion and Gruyère and Jalapeño and Bacon Mac

Such a delicious beer and food pairing!

In addition to the Mac and cheese flights, for the remainder of Mass Beer Week they will be doing special casks and feature live music.

Thanks to brewer Todd and Chef Jon for a wonderful culinary experience.

We were excited to meet Jason and Corey of @loyalf

We were excited to meet Jason and Corey of @loyalfoe who after several years of home brewing have begun to sell their beer commercially out of a garage in Harvard.

These friends have turned their passion into one pretty impressive set up with a 2bbl system and even a Wild Goose canner!!

Currently they brew for releases about twice a month. We sampled their rotating series Father Frank and this version was a NEIPA with Citra and Galaxy.

They have long term plans to open a taproom and would love for it to be in Harvard, but right now you can sign up for their newsletter to see when releases are and make your order.

It’s #MassBeerWeek2023 !!

We are at the @mabrewersguild Brewers Guild Freshman Class event of 2023 hosted for the fourth time by @lfbeerandcider in #Natick

This unique beer tasting event features Massachusetts breweries who opened within the last year. Attendees sit down with brewers at an intimate table setting to learn their story, mission and taste their beers in a speed dating format moving from table to table.

There’s a lot of camaraderie amongst the patrons and the brewers and we wish all these new breweries the best for the futures.

Huge thanks to The MBG, Look Out Farm, @esprovisions for their pretzels and all the volunteers for making this event happen.
