Yesterday we descended upon the City of Salem, Massachusetts to participate in the 2024 Salem Brewery Crawl

We completed the mission by making stops and getting our passport stamped at @eastregimentbeerco, @couchdogbrewing, @notchbrewing, @farfromthetreecider and @deacongiles

Our reward? A sweet commemorative pint glass!!! Plus tasty beverages and a whole lot of fun along the way…

Eight years ago today we flipped the switch and our website massbrewbros.com went live!!

Since then we’ve tried to provide as much information about Massachusetts craft beer, breweries and events as we could through news, our blog, the calendar of craft beer events, list of Massachusetts breweries and the most accurate and up-to-date maps of Massachusetts breweries so you know where you can grab some pints!!

We sincerely appreciate each and everyone of you who has taken the time to click that link and check our website out. We hope you have found it informative.

Please help share our website with anyone in the Bay State or with plans to visit that has an interest in our state’s tasty suds.

For National Beer Day last Sunday we had a chance

For National Beer Day last Sunday we had a chance to check out @craftfoodhalls Revolution Hall in Lexington. It’s a fun spot for craft beer and food, but the coolest feature is the self-serve beer wall.

Grab a card when you come in and then you can use it to choose from two dozen beer and wine options. Pour just the amount you want whether you are in the mood for a full pour or feeling adventurous to sample several different beers.

For food we enjoyed pizza and the cinnamon/sugar pretzel bites. There was also live music and a beer pong tournament.

And to complete the day’s events, Certified Cicerone @craftbeerconcierge and Matt Steinberg were on hand to give a guided tasting of @exhibitabrewing beers.

After a seemingly endless search for a home, @loop

After a seemingly endless search for a home, @loopholebrewing is opening their taproom in Springfield.

Located in the downtown area at 51-59 Taylor Street, Jeff Goulet and the Loophole team are excited to welcome you to their space.

A full liquor license will mean in addition to Loophole beers they’ll serve spirits, cocktails and wine.
We drank “Drone,” a Saison with honey, but a pale ale, NEIPA and hot cocoa stout were also on the taplist.

They’re working on a kitchen to serve food and in house pizzas to be dubbed piehole are planned.

A space outside will also be available as the weather warms up.

Please check their social media for hours, but full hours are planned starting April 1 (no fooling).

Massachusetts’ newest brewery, @hannahsbrewingco

Massachusetts’ newest brewery, @hannahsbrewingco, is located at 364 Main St. in Melrose.

The brewery was founded by partners Mike Snow and long-time industry veteran Jason Taggart, who had stints brewing at John Harvard’s, Dorchester and most recently Democracy Brewing and they are eager to welcome patrons to their taproom.

Both are Melrose residents and have worked diligently with local officials to set up this brewery in what was a formerly dry town.

The taproom has a cozy neighborhood feel and patrons can enjoy pints and flights. Beer included a West Coast IPA, Belgian Pale Ale, Amber and we tried the Hazy NEIPA and Dry Stout.

An outdoor patio is in the works too. Beer to go is available in crowlers. Food is BYOF or small snacks sold on site.

A grand opening is planned for this Sunday March 17🍀

Situated in a new development at 1 David Ortiz Dri

Situated in a new development at 1 David Ortiz Drive just a Big Papi blast from Fenway Park, @mightysqrl is opening their newest location on Thursday March 14th at 5p

The space houses a brewery and taproom with a capacity of 570. There are four separate bars on two floors. The first floor has windowed-garage doors that can be opened up in the warmer months. The second floor has the Lookout bar which has a view of Fenway Park and the Squirrel Den that offers more privacy.

Expect your favorite Mighty Squirrel brews on tap, but new offerings will include hard seltzer and hard smoothies!!

There is an in-house kitchen serving up quick eats such as pizzas and tacos. Ordering is done through QR codes at tables and then patrons pick up their food.

Also, starting this Friday, the taproom will open every morning at 6:00am for coffee, pastries, and bagels.

M-F 11am- 12am
Sat 10am-12am
Sun 10am-10pm
Coffee Hours:
Daily 6am-8pm

A little nip in the air yesterday didn’t stop patrons from reveling in the annual @notchbrewing Starkbierfest at the @charlesriverspeedway biergarten in Brighton

Strong beers such as doppelbocks and rauchbiers are poked with an iron hot loggerhead poker to warm the beer as well as enhance its flavors, aromas and texture. It’s a unique beer experience.
