Canton’s first craft beer maker, Blue Hills Brewery, announced today that it will close for the summer in order to focus on opening a taproom later this year. Below is the statement that was posted on their website.

Blue Hills Brewery will be closing for the summer as we work on the next chapter in the story of our brewery. We will be creating a tap room in the Canton area that will allow our customers to come in, enjoy a pint or two, socialize and enjoy our craft beer offerings.

First and foremost, thank you to everyone who came out to the brewery, ordered us at a local restaurant, bought us at the local store or came to one of our events. We always strive to make the best tasting and enjoyable craft beer around.

The past eight years have seen a tremendous growth and shift in the beer marketplace, and we hope our tap room will give our customers an even deeper connection to our passion for brewing great beer.

We will keep you informed as to our progress on social media and our website.

Thanks again for your support!

Cheers!
