Cape Cod Beer announces a yearlong anniversary celebration

starting with a brand-new beer & a kickoff party at the brewery.

PRESS RELEASE / April 16, 2024 (Hyannis, MA) – Cape Cod Beer is excited to announce a yearlong celebration in honor of their 20th anniversary. The Cape’s original craft beer will celebrate two decades of business starting in April with the exclusive release of their Cape Cod Ale and an anniversary kickoff party later this month. Cape Cod Beer hopes this yearlong celebration will pay the perfect tribute to its brand and the fans who made them who they are today.

At the forefront of the anniversary celebrations is the release of Cape Cod Ale. To no surprise, this beer embraces all things Cape Cod, with a vintage post-card style label and packaged in an old school, stubby glass bottle. The label art includes a map of the Cape with many notable landmarks like the three bridges, Nobska Light, Higgins Farm Windmill, Nauset Light, Provincetown Monument, and more. Along with the landmarks, the label art also includes a red biplane towing a banner that says, “Cheers to 20 Years!”. This icon pays tribute to Cape Cod Airfield and the plane that towed a Cape Cod Beer banner for three seasons from 2016-2018. The taste of the beer represents the brand perfectly, focusing on the desire to enjoy more than just one. It’s crisp, light, and easy to drink with a clean hop bitterness. This anniversary ale will be available at the brewery only starting Thursday, April 25th for pints on site and in 500mL bottles to take home.

In addition to their award-winning brews, Cape Cod Beer is known for hosting hundreds of events in their taproom and beer garden. In celebration of this significant milestone, Cape Cod Beer has numerous events planned throughout the year starting with their 20th Anniversary Kick-Off Party on Saturday, April 27th from noon to 8 PM. This party will include a full day of live music from three Cape Cod bands: The Dirty Water Dance Band, 57 Heavy, and FlyDown. In addition to live music there will be multiple food vendors on site including the Pineapple Caper Food Truck and FV Isabel & Lilee’s Scallop Shanty. There will be brand new beer releases, specialty anniversary cocktails, a birthday cake and more! If the weather is nice, this party will be outside in the beer garden. Tickets are $10 in advance and at the door all day long.

Todd Marcus, owner of Cape Cod Beer is looking forward to celebrating this anniversary with their friends, family, and customers. He spoke about this accomplishment with great pride, “When my wife and I started this business 20 years ago we never imagined that we’d get here. Most entrepreneurs work on a 5-year plan at most, so it’s crazy to think our small spark of an idea has grown into what it is today”. Marcus continues, “We’ve seen a lot in the last two decades – the craft beer boom that increased the number of breweries from 1,000 to 10,000 – the rise and fall of local and national brands – and of course the global pandemic that forced us to evolve in ways we never had before”. Marcus goes on with gratitude, “It’s been quite the ride, and surely one we haven’t taken alone. We wouldn’t be here without the amazing support of this community that we love; over the years we’ve worked hard to stay involved and give back as much as possible. Beth and I are incredibly grateful for all our friends, family, employees, and customers who have made it all possible. We are truly proud to be Cape Cod’s beer. Cheers to 20 years!”

Cape Cod Beer will be celebrating their 20th anniversary all year long which will include brand new beers, fun new events, upgrades to their taproom and beer garden and so much more.
