PRESS RELEASE / July 31, 2023 (Everett, MA) – Night Shift Brewing has a celebratory new release dropping this Thursday at all locations, it’s something special for the hockey faithful: “Captain 37 – The Patrice Pilsner.”
They brewed this tribute beer at Lovejoy, a stone’s throw from Boston’s Hub of Hockey, where that Quebec-born legend embraced our city as his own. For 19 seasons, #37 led the black and gold with skill, honor, and an unwavering commitment to Boston. Let’s celebrate his remarkable legacy with a toast to the Captain who called our neighborhood home.
Captain 37 – The Patrice Pilsner is a 5.2% ABV that is bright and crisp with notes of honey and biscuit, balanced by a floral, zesty hop profile.
This will be on tap next Thursday. Cans? They’re hoping they’ll be ready by then. If not, they’re coming hot on their heels!

Night Shift Brewing has its roots in a small kitchen on Josephine Ave in Somerville, MA. In 2007, Co-Founders Rob, Mike, and Michael began homebrewing at night, making beers for friends and family that they hoped were more delicious than the commercial options on shelves. In 2012, the trio moved their hobby to a small Everett warehouse and launched the business. Today, Night Shift Brewing operates locations in Everett and Boston MA, and distributes beer throughout MA, CT, ME, NH, NY, PA, RI, VT, NJ, MD and DC.
