Trillium Brings Back Fan-Favorite Headroom Double IPA

PRESS RELEASE / August 24, 2023 (Canton, MA) – Trillium Brewing Company is excitedly relaunching their fan-favorite Headroom Double IPA on Thursday, August 31, 2023. Since it was first brewed on Congress Street in 2015, Headroom has stood out as a landmark beer that represents Trillium’s evolution as a brewery. With each barrel laden with more than eight pounds of Galaxy and Mosaic hops, Headroom is Trillium’s hoppiest, most daring beer. Last brewed in 2020, Headroom is now back and better than ever with bold flavors, strong hops, and an eye-catching new can design.

This year’s batch of Headroom displays powerful aromas of pressed orange, lemon zest, and papaya with a burst of fresh grassy hops. Rich flavors of candied peach and orange peel lead the palate with supporting notes of red grapefruit, ripe pineapple, white table grapes, and mango smoothies. As with previous years, Headroom is balanced with a full, rounded mouthfeel and a soft, creamy finish.

“Headroom is a foundational double IPA for Trillium as it represents our instinctual approach to making completely hop saturated double IPAs. I’m stoked that we were able to bring back Headroom this year and for Trillium fans to connect over a beer that’s special to all of us,” said Jean-Claude Tetreault, co-founder of Trillium.

When Trillium first released Headroom in 2015, it was made in connection to a music festival. In the spirit of the initial launch and to celebrate the re-release of the fan-favorite brew, Trillium is hosting a variety of local musical acts at the following locations on Thursday, August 31.

  • Canton
    • Musical performances from sing-songwriters Will Evans and Paul Izak will take place from 8:00 – 10:00 PM. Will Evans comes to us on his solo journey showcasing his talent as a multi-instrumentalist and soulful vocalist. He will team up on-stage with Paul Izak, a roots musician and organic farmer, hailing from Oahu, Hawaii — whose conscious music is inspired by folk, blues, rock, and reggae.
  • The Common
    • Trillium is proud to partner with Emerson College’s UnCommon Stage for live performances at the Common location. Check out the UnCommon Stage website for details about the featured artist that evening.
  • Fort Point
    • Music producer, DJ and Boston native HRLY (Peter Hurley) will be on the patio from 8:00 – 10:00 PM. HRLY channels his adventurous and active lifestyle into his music, aiming to spread positivity and happiness through his mixes.
  • Fenway
    • Trillium is thrilled to support The Fenway Summer Sessions, which runs from 4:00 –7:00 PM at The Green at 401 Park. The Fenway location will also have Dumpling Daughter onsite to serve dumplings alongside pints of Headroom from 4:00 – 8:00 PM

The latest batch of Headroom will be available starting Thursday, August 31 at the time of opening. Headroom will be on tap at all of Trillium’s five locations and will be available for pickup at Canton, Fort Point, and Fenway. The brew is also available for shipping via UPS Direct. There is a limit of two (2) 4-packs per person for both pickup and shipping. Please Note: We’re only able to legally ship beer to MA, NH, VT, PA, KY, NE, ND, OR, D.C., and OH.
