Thursday, March 14th -Sunday, March 17th

PRESS RELEASE / March 7, 2024 (Boston, MA) – Kane’s Donuts is pleased to announce a limited-edition donut with Castle Island in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day and in honor of Boston’s St. Patrick’s Day parade! Tapping into Castle Island’s Parade Beer, Kane’s has crafted yet another limited-edition delight with one of the area’s best breweries. A collaboration with the Norwood and South Boston brewery, the Castle Island Parade Beer Donut is a light, airy yeast dough topped with a glaze made with reduced Castle Island Parade Beer and then infused in Kane’s Signature Honey Glaze topped with St Patty’s Day sprinkles!

“As a business born in Massachusetts, we’re deeply committed to honoring our hometown roots by partnering with fellow local establishments and prioritizing the use of local ingredients whenever possible,” said Maria Delios, Owner of Kane’s Donuts. “We’re excited for our dedicated customers to experience our newest collaboration with Castle Island, perfectly timed for all St. Patrick’s Day festivities.”

Castle Island’s Blonde Ale Parade Beer is a light, refreshing blonde ale. With a perfect 5.4% ABV, Castle Island’s latest release is just begging to be paired with a delicious donut.

“Teaming up with Kane’s Donuts in 2022 was an absolute blast, and we’re thrilled to do it all over again,” said Adam Romanow, Castle Island’s Founder. “Positioned perfectly along the parade route, we’re gearing up for our Parade Beer and the Castle Island Parade Beer donut to disappear in the blink of an eye. This collaboration is the sprinkle of magic this St. Patrick’s weekend was calling for!”

Kane’s will also have a selection of new flavors for the entire month of March. Customers can enjoy a Lemon Chiffon Bar, Pistachio Donut, Marble Donut, Gluten-free Peppermint Patty Donut, and Vegan Old Fashioned Glazed Donut all month long.

About Kane’s Donuts

Kane’s Donuts is New England’s legacy donut shop, ranked top-10 in the United States for serving handcrafted donuts and treats that are made fresh daily, and with local ingredients. Known for a superior daily selection of artisanal flavors and rotating monthly favorites, its continuous 69 years of service began with Kane’s’ now-iconic “Legacy” store, which opened in 1955 in Saugus, Mass., and remains a local favorite for serving handmade products, seven days a week. For its 60th anniversary in March 2015, Kane’s opened a second location (“Kane’s Downtown”) in the heart of Boston’s financial district at International Place; and in March 2019, Kane’s reimagined the donut-buying experience with “Kane’s Flagship,” its largest location (with a drive-through and donut-prep observation area) at Essex Landing in Saugus. In 2018, Kane’s was named “Best Donut” by both Boston Magazine and the Improper Bostonian, and in 2019 won “Best of the North Shore” by North Shore magazine. It has appeared in Travel + Leisure, Saveur and Yankee magazines, among others; it’s consistently recognized by the Boston Globe, Boston Herald and local media; and has earned local and national attention for what many consider the best gluten-free cake donuts available at a traditional donut shop.
