Munich Comes To Framingham With A Week Long Celebration, Starting September 27 and Concluding With The US Steinholding Association’s Annual Massachusetts State Championship on October 5
PRESS RELEASE / September 18, 2025 (Framingham, MA) – Jack’s Abby is bringing a little bit of Munich to Framingham with a week-long celebration of Oktoberfest, starting on September 27.
Jack’s Abby lives for lager and they are celebrating Oktoberfest and what they do best: German food, German beer, live oompah music, steinholding and keg tossing. The event is family friendly with costume contests for all ages in addition to both kids and adults pretzel eating contests, stein hoists, and keg tossing. There will also be karaoke and Bratwurst eating competitions.
Jack’s Abby Oktoberfest limited edition beer releases are:
Copper Legend – 5.7% ABV
Unique style between a Marzen and a modern Festbier. Copper Legend is the perfect marriage of caramel, sweet toasty malts, and infinite drinkability. Raise one this fest season and Be The Legend!
The Modern Series
Modern Fest – 5.9% ABV
The Modern series reimagines classic beer styles, drawing from Founder Jack Hendler’s journey through breweries around the world.
With a style named after the Wiesn, the local nickname for the Theresienwiese fairgrounds where Oktoberfest is held, this beer puts a crisp, modern twist on traditional fest lager. Honey, lightly toasted bread, sourdough, wheat berry, and notes of fresh grass and earl grey tea. Notes of lemon rind. Full body finish compared to most festbiers.
Munich Fest – 5.4% ABV
This golden, unfiltered lager offers a delicious contrast to the amber beers of the season. Expect a slightly sweet, moderately bitter and super crisp beer built for the fest.
Modern Hefe – 5.0% ABV
Modern Hefe is krausened with Jack’s Abby House Lager yeast and can-conditioned for natural carbonation, offering irresistible notes of banana and clove.
This legendary week concludes with the US Steinholding Associations’s annual Massachusetts State Championship on Sunday, October 5 at the Jack’s Abby.
Winners from qualifying rounds across the state will travel to Framingham to compete in the finals at Jack’s Abby. The US Steinholding Association will be on-site for the competition and will determine our two Massachusetts state champions! Winners will be crowned the State Steinholding Champions and will be invited to represent Massachusetts and attend the 2025 USSA National Steinholding Championship!

Founded in 2011 by three brothers, Jack, Eric, and Sam Hendler, Jack’s Abby has become an award winning mainstay of the craft brewing scene in the Northeast and nationwide. The Hendler brothers grew up in a family that promoted entrepreneurship and hard work. Spending summers with their grandfather and working at the family’s ice distribution company, they learned the value of committed family members and loyal employees—the foundation on which Jack’s Abby is based. Since opening, the brewery has tripled in size and is only continuing to grow. Visit the brewery and Beer Hall & Kitchen, have a pint, and some fresh wood-fired pizza, and learn more.
