Bent Water is the 2025 Craft Beer Marketing Partner of Roadrunner
PRESS RELEASE / July 11, 2025 (Boston, MA) – Bent Water Brewing is turning up the volume this summer with the launch of Backstage Pils, a new cause beer brewed in collaboration with Roadrunner, New England’s largest indoor general admission concert venue, and ZUMIX, the acclaimed East Boston nonprofit that empowers young people through music, technology, and creative expression.
Backstage Pils is available exclusively at Roadrunner and was created as a celebration of live music – with a purpose. A portion of proceeds from each beer sold will directly benefit ZUMIX and its music-focused programming designed to equip youth with the tools necessary to reach their full potential.
“This beer is a love letter to live music and the energy of a great show,” said Drew Yeager, Head Brewer and COO at Bent Water Brewing. “It’s also a chance to support an organization that’s using music to help shape the next generation of Bostonians. ZUMIX is doing incredible work, and we’re proud to help amplify it.”
ZUMIX has been a cornerstone of Boston’s creative youth development scene for more than 30 years. Through programs in instrumental music, songwriting, radio, music production, performance, and more, they help young people shape their futures while building confidence, community, and creativity.
“At ZUMIX, we believe music is a powerful tool for personal and social change,” said Madeleine Steczynski, Co-Founder and Executive Director of ZUMIX. “Partnerships like this one are what make our work possible, and we love that Backstage Pils brings our message to a place as vibrant and music-driven as Roadrunner.”
Located in Boston’s Allston-Brighton neighborhood, Roadrunner is a state-of-the-art, 50,000-square-foot venue with a 3,500-person capacity. Designed specifically for live music fans, it quickly became a favorite among touring artists and local concertgoers alike. As Roadrunner’s official craft beer marketing partner through May 2026, Bent Water will be present at every show with Backstage Pils and fan favorites like Sluice Juice available at bars throughout the venue.
“At Roadrunner, we believe live concerts are one of the most powerful ways to bring people together and build community,” added Josh Bhatti, Senior Vice President, The Bowery Presents, which owns and operates Roaderunner. “That same spirit drives organizations like Zumix, which develops the next generation of musicians and creatives and helps keep Boston’s arts community thriving. We’re excited to team up with Bent Water on the Backstage Pils to amplify our ongoing support for Zumix and keep strengthening Boston through music.”
While Bent Water’s beers will be available at every Roadrunner show, they’ll have a special presence at three upcoming shows, providing samples and swag. ZUMIX will join them to tell concertgoers more about their work with Boston youth. Catch them activating at the shows on August 2, September 9, and September 11.
Backstage Pils is crisp, refreshing, and made for music lovers by music lovers.
