PRESS RELEASE / October 1, 2024 (Boston, MA) – Kane’s Donuts is pleased to announce two limited-edition seasonal donuts with fall favorites from Mighty Squirrel Brewing Co. and High Limb Cider to bring customers the Mighty Squirrel Gourdgeous Pumpkin Donut and High Limb Dutch Apple Crisp Cider Donut! These scrumptious Oktoberfest flavors are in stores beginning October 1 and available through October at all three Kane’s Donuts’ locations: Kane’s Lincoln Ave (120 Lincoln Ave. in Saugus); Kane’s Rt. 1 (1575 Broadway, on Rt. 1 at Essex Landing in Saugus), and Kane’s Downtown (90 Oliver St. in Boston’s Financial District, at International Place).

Tapping into Mighty Squirrel’s Gourdgeous Pumpkin beer, Kane’s has crafted yet another seasonal delight.  The Mighty Squirrel Gourdgeous Pumpkin Donut is a delicious cake-style pumpkin donut loaded with fresh pumpkin, ground nutmeg, and cinnamon, then drenched in a glaze made with reduced Gourdgeous Pumpkin that has been infused in Kane’s Signature Honey Glaze. Kane’s High Limb Dutch Apple Crisp Cider Donut is a cake-style apple cider donut with a touch of cinnamon, drenched in a glaze made from reduced Dutch Apple Crisp cider that has been infused in their Signature Honey Glaze. All alcohol cooks off during the reduction process making both these donuts safe for all ages.

“Our loyal customers always appreciate when we collaborate with local New England brewers and cider makers to highlight seasonal flavors,” says Maria Delios, Co-Owner and Donut Master at Kane’s Donuts. “The Mighty Squirrel Gourdgeous Pumpkin Donut and High Limb Dutch Apple Crisp Cider Donut are bound to become their new fall favorites.”

Mighty Squirrel’s Gourdgeous Pumpkin beer is a pumpkin ale with subtle notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, candied yams, and a rich, warm pie crust finish. To learn more about Mighty Squirrel, please visit https://www.mightysquirrel.com/.

“Teaming up with Kane’s Donuts for a pumpkin donut is a fantastic seasonal collaboration we’re excited to be a part of,” says Brian Burke, Director of Taproom Operations at Mighty Squirrel. “Our Gourdgeous Pumpkin beer brings out the warm, spiced flavors in the donut, creating a unique and irresistible fall treat.

We love working with local partners like Kane’s to showcase seasonal ingredients and bring our shared passion for craft to the community.”

High Limb’s Dutch Apple Crisp cider is a mix of fall spices and is bursting with notes of brown sugar, oatmeal, and crisp apple. It’s blended with vanilla for a creamy mouthfeel reminiscent of the vanilla ice cream topping that makes an apple crisp an apple CRISP. To find their products, visit https://www.highlimbcider.com/.
