PRESS RELEASE / May 4, 2021, (SCITUATE, MA) – Untold Brewing has announced the reopening of its coastal taproom and patio after a year-long pause due to COVID-19. For the last year, the three-year-old brewery has depended upon contactless curbside pickup as well as wholesale sales to local restaurants and package stores.
The new service, beginning Friday May 7th at noon, will include indoor and outdoor seating, including space within its restored 1800s schoolhouse taproom. “We cannot wait to reopen our doors to our neighbors and loyal friends,” stated Matt Elder, founder of Untold Brewing. “It’s been nearly 14 months since we’ve poured a beer and interacted beyond an online transaction.”
Service will begin this Friday, May 7th at 12pm and will run Thursday to Sunday each week. Hours of operation vary slightly per day and guests are encouraged to make reservations in advance on Untold Brewing’s website. “We’re following State and local guidelines and have established a great system to ensure the comfort and safety of our guests and staff. The town (of Scituate) has enabled us to utilize our lawn area for outdoor seating and we’ve set up a reservation and contactless system ordering to improve the overall experience and hospitality.”
Plastic Can Carriers Are NOT Curbside Recyclable, But SOME Breweries CAN Reuse or Recycle Them
To meet current guidelines, Untold has partnered with Pennypackers Fine Foods of Somerville and Fresh City Kitchen to offer consistent, high-quality food service during operating hours, as well as, provisions from Eastern Standard, Board 143, and other local artisans. “Our goal is to not only serve great beer, but to create an experience that our guests enjoy,” remarked Mike Dyer, VP of Untold Brewing. “From the Adirondack chairs to the music, and of course the beer, we want each guest to feel relaxed, safe, and most importantly excited to be at Untold Brewing.”
Untold’s popular online ordering program as well as retail counter for packaged beer to-go will continue to operate Wednesday to Sunday each week. Hours for on-site beer and food are:
Monday, Tuesday : closed
Wednesday: 12-7 (retail only)
Thursday: 12-3 (retail only), 3-9 (draft and retail) Friday, Saturday: 12-9 (draft and retail)
Sunday: 12-6 (draft and retail)
