If you don’t have travel plans next Wednesday, Thanksgiving Eve, and you’ve got an ugly sweater, then you might want to head over to Down The Road Beer Co.’s new brewery and taproom in Everett for a fun and relaxed night of pinball and great craft beer. “We know what a shit-show of a drinking night Thanksgiving Eve can be at local bars,” says marketing director Alex Weaver. “We wanted our taproom to be a relaxed and fun alternative.”

Here’s the gist: anyone who shows up wearing an ugly holiday sweater gets a free game of pinball (we understand a new Twilight Zone machine just hit the floor), with 2,500 square feet of dedicated taproom space you won’t have to fight your way to the bar, and a special brewery-only release, Wicked Wintah Hot Chocolate Porter, will be pouring. Here’s a description of the decadent, limited release brew:

Back in January, Down The Road teamed up with City Brew Tours to create a decadent, hot chocolate inspired beer: The Wicked Wintah Hot Chocolate Porter. Rich and creamy, it’s our Spring Heel Jack London Porter aged on cacao nibs blended with a hearty bourbon barrel-aged porter, then finished with a hint of vanilla to give the impression of melted marshmallows. And we’ll be brewing it again this winter.

At least ten other beers, including the flagship Pukwudgie Pale Ale, a couple of juicy IPAs, and Peach Feyborn Berliner Weisse, will be also be flowing when doors open at 11:00, and the Chik Chak food truck will be there from 5:00 to 10:00. The taproom will keep regular hours through the holiday weekend, and there’s always plenty of parking behind the brewery at 199 Ashland Street. And don’t forget to wear that ugly sweater your well-meaning aunt gave you, winner of the contest will get some cool DTR merch to take home.
