PRESS RELEASE / April 20, 2017 — After a successful first year, breweries in western Massachusetts and the publicans and retailers who support them will come together again to celebrate Western Mass Beer Week June 10-17, 2017.
Last year 35 businesses participated in the region’s inaugural Beer Week. To date for 2017, there are more than 50 participating businesses representing each of the four counties of western Massachusetts. Confirmed participants so far include:

While many events are still in the planning stage, a few have already been announced. The People’s Pint will host the brand new Pints in the Park event at Energy Park in downtown Greenfield on Saturday June 10. Additionally to kick off Beer Week on June 10, BLDG8 Brewing will host an open house where guests will be treated to tasty snacks, entertainment and the ability to purchase and enjoy pints on site for the day. Western Mass Beer Week again coincides and culminates with the Pedals2Pints spring ride and The Worthy Brewfest.
Those familiar with last year’s events might remember the “C_lvin IPA,” a collaboraon brew by Abandoned Building and Brewmaster Jack’s. While that collaboraon release was exclusive to 2016, several other collaboration beers are already in the works for this year. Some collaborations announced so far include a beer brewed by newcomers Vanished Valley and Two Weeks Notice and Abandoned Building’s two separate releases with Lefty’s Brewing and Beerology, Northampton’s new homebrew supply store and ‘beerducation’ center.
