PRESS RELEASE / April 28, 2023 (Gardner, MA) – Thursday Night, May the 4th at 5:30 PM Moon Hill Brewing at The Gardner Ale House will release cans of Curly Girl Bavarian Pilsner in the Pub to raise money for StacheStrong, a non-profit organization devoted to raising funds and awareness for brain cancer research. $1 per can or draft pint of Curly Girl Pilsner sold goes to StacheStrong. Raffles and prizes will add to the funding for brain cancer research.

The Gardner High School Class of ʻ99 recognizes two recent, painful losses from brain tumors with this unique Curly Girl fundraiser. Classmate Manda, The Curly Girl herself (2023), passed as a result of complications from surgery to treat a benign meningioma, while Will (2021), husband of classmate Emily, battled glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), the most aggressive type of brain cancer, before passing.

Manda Knight, Emily Worsnopp, Will Worsnopp, Andy Knight.

Both Will and Manda brought a passion to life that was infectious. Will was an artist and woodcarver whose work inspired the design for this label, and the Curly Girl was drawn by Manda. This cause hits home for Moon Hill Brewing/Gardner Ale House’s General Manager Stacey Kazinskas who is a GHS Class of ʻ99 graduate herself.

Curly Girl Pilsner is a traditional Bavarian Lager; smooth and full-bodied and accented with old world Perle hops. This beer is perfect to celebrate among friends as it subtly pleases the palate with warmth and moderate alcohol.
