PRESS RELEASE / March 13, 2023 (Worcester, MA) – Kane’s Donuts is excited to announce a collaboration with Wormtown Brewery and its Irish Red on a limited-edition St. Patrick’s Day Donut. The Wormtown Irish Red Donut will be available from Thursday, March 16 through Sunday, March 19, 2023 at all three Kane’s Donuts locations – 120 Lincoln Avenue in Saugus, 1575 Broadway (Essex Landing) in Saugus and 90 Oliver Street in Boston’s Financial District.

Tapping into Wormtown’s Irish Red, an Irish-style Red Ale, Kane’s has crafted yet another limited-edition delight with one of Massachusetts’ premier breweries. The Wormtown Irish Red Donut is a light and airy yeast-style donut topped with Kane’s signature honey glaze infused with Irish Red and decorated festively with green frosting and sprinkles. Wormtown’s Irish Red is a light-bodied red ale that has a toasty malt aroma, a caramel toffee flavor, and a light dry finish, making it a smooth and easy-drinking Irish-style Red Ale for any occasion. With an ABV of 5.5% and flavors of caramel, light roast, and slight spice, it pairs perfectly with the sweet flavors of a donut.

“We love working with local and regional breweries on limited-edition collaborations, and we’ve been trying to find a way to work with Wormtown for quite some time,” said Maria Delios, co-owner of Kane’s Donuts. “Wormtown is one of those brands that our guests often suggest we collaborate on, and the timing could not be any better with their release of Irish Red, and Wormtown celebrating its ‘Baker’s Dozen’ themed thirteenth birthday celebration this St. Patrick’s Day.”

In addition to celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, Wormtown Brewery is hosting its 13th birthday bash on Friday, March 17, 2023 at their Worcester taproom at 72 Shrewsbury Street from 4 – 10 p.m. featuring live music, DJ, a special birthday brew, cocktails, food and desserts, and a vintage beer tasting.
