PRESS RELASE / May 9, 2018 (MALDEN, MA) – Tomorrow Idle Hands Craft Ales will release Bluma, its annual maibock lager that celebrates the arrival of spring.
Bluma is dark gold in color and has a sweet and bready, yet light malt character taste. The beer finishes with a touch of herbal, spicy, and citrus hop flavors and checks in at 7.1% ABV. As is customary with German-style maibocks, Idle Hands brews Bluma in March to release in May as is traditional for the style.
The beer will be released tomorrow on draft in the Idle Hands taproom and available to take home in 32 ounce Freshies.
Additionally, Jaju Pierogi will return to the taproom tomorrow at 6pm to serve delicious and inventive pierogi.
Bluma will be one of the core beers available at Idle Hands’ Maifest on May 12, 2018, to celebrate the arrival of spring. Visitors can purchase tickets for $10 at the door, receive a complimentary glass and fill, enjoy a lineup of Idle Hands favorites, eat delicious food, and take in a full day of live music.
“We’re really excited to release Bluma because it signifies that spring and warm weather have finally arrived,” said Chris Tkach, founder of Idle Hands Craft Ales. “It’s German tradition to serve a maibock in conjunction with a spring festival, Bluma will be one of the featured beers on tap at our Maifest on Saturday.”
