PRESS RELEASE / May 15, 2019 (Cambridge, MA) – The 8th Hyper-Local Craft Brewfest kicks off at University Park, Cambridge, MA for two sessions. Presented by Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts (SBN) Hyper-Local Craft Brewfest is the only festival in the New England region that focuses on local brews with locally sourced ingredients from local farms and food makers. The festival brings together 25 breweries, cideries, and artisan beverage crafters offering tasting samples along with food from skillful local chefs and bakers from all over New England to celebrate with local craft brew fans. The festival will also feature cask brews made just for the event that all include local ingredients.

The Hyper-Local Craft Brewfest is a unique opportunity to meet the makers of local brews and beverages in an intimate outdoor setting while exploring brews that go beyond local. To qualify as “Hyper-Local,” not only are the beers, ciders, and artisan beverages made by New England producers, many of the products reflect local sourcing created with ingredients grown, made, or harvested in New England, or malted in local facilities. This year we look forward to Ale made from local centennial hops, cold-pressed coffee sweetened with New Hampshire honey, ciders made from New England apples, a Kolsh made from local cranberry juice, and much more.

The Hyper-Local Craft Brewfest is not only an opportunity to sample the cornucopia of flavors New England offers, it’s a chance to raise your glass to a good cause. A fundraiser for the Boston Local Food Program, the festival is a double-win: drink truly great craft brews and feel good doing it! Tickets are $40.00 for general admission and $80.00 for a pair, $60 for VIP, and door sales are $50.00. Tickets are available through Eventbrite at hyperlocalbrew.eventbrite.com.  Admission includes samples of beer, cider, and artisan beverages from local vendors. Local food will be on sale for $6 or less.

Both of our sessions will provide attendees with the opportunity to chat with the brewers, learn more about making small batches and homebrewing, hear from experts, and taste a selection of local brews, from local makers. In addition, the festival will offer a special Beer on Cask Tasting coordinated by Randy Baril, former Head
