PRESS RELEASE / March 10, 2023 (Weymouth, MA) – Put away your phone. Ignore the forecast. As far as everyone at Barrel House Z is concerned, summer is officially here now that Sunny & 79° is in full release. Folks at this brewery and taproom in Weymouth see only sunny skies ahead.
Barrel House Z’s head of marketing, Mary Mooney Heissner explains, “Just like a great old song takes you back to a particular place and time, Sunny & 79° carries you right back to summery days. Sunny & 79° first released in 2016 and became an instant summer classic. We get calls all winter asking for it, but we only brew March through early August.”
Sunny & 79° is a traditional pilsner, brewed with Pilsner and Munich malt as well as Hallertau and Mandarina Bavaria. Barrel House Z gives this pilsner its own twist by dry-spicing with juniper berry, lemon peel, and coriander and cardamom seeds. The result is a crisp, nuanced pour with handful of summer’s favorite flavors. ABV is a drinkable 6%.
Brewery director Matt Wiley notes that “Sunny & 79° gives beer lovers an amazing warm weather option. It’s full of zesty botanicals and summery spice notes. We can’t brew enough to keep up with demand. For
good reason!”
