PRESS RELEASE / December 9, 2019 (Boston, MA) – Due to popular demand, Boston Harbor Distillery – located in Dorchester’s Port Norfolk neighborhood – is expanding its public hours by adding two additional days to its popular
Saturday hours.

The Standard Distillery Tour is $15 per person and will be offered on Friday-Sunday. It features
history of the location, education on spirit making, with an emphasis on whiskey with tasting along the way and a complimentary souvenir shot glass. Tours are on a first-come, first-serve basis and on Friday, tours are at 4:00 and 6:00p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday, tours are at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

The VIP Distillery Tour is $40 per person and is offered Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This is an hourlong deep dive with a particular focus on whiskey featuring Putnam Whiskey expressions, Spirit of Boston varieties and other brands available at the distillery only. Get up close to the still and sample straight out of the barrel. Sign up in advance to reserve a spot at

Along with tours, the distillery boasts a comfortable cocktail lounge with featured cocktails that include these favorite cocktails, among others:

Malted Orange Old Fashioned: Putnam Single Malt, Chocolate, and Orange Bitters
Patriot: Putnam Rye Whiskey, Apple Cider, and Maple Syrup
Double Dog Dare: Demon Seed Whiskey, Fiery Ginger Syrup & Maple Syrup (offered exclusively at
Boston Harbor Distillery)

Boston White Russian: Lawley’s Small Batch Dark Rum, BHD Maple Cream and Coffee Liqueurs
Nor’easter: Lawley’s Small Batch Dark Rum, Ginger Beer, Angostura Bitters
For those interested in shopping, the mercantile includes bottles of all BHD brands, including
distillery-only releases, as well as branded hats, flasks, glasses, Goodnow Farms award-winning
chocolates made with Putnam Whiskey and Lawley’s Rum and gift cards.

Peppermint Mocha Hot Chocolate

1 1/2 oz BHD Maple Cream Liqueur

1/2 oz BHD Coffee Liqueur

2-3 Drops of Peppermint Extract

Mixed with Hot Chocolate

Rim coffee glass with crushed Candy Cane, fill with Liquor,

Peppermint Extract and Hot Chocolate and stir until combined.

Top with whipped cream and serve.

 

Cranberry Moscow Mule

2 oz Lawley’s Original Small Batch Rum

1 1/2 oz Cranberry Juice

Top with Ginger Beer

Serve over ice in a collins glass garnished with fresh

lime and cranberries.

 

 

 

Shelly’s Nog

1 oz Putnam Rye Whiskey

1 oz Spirit of Boston Merry Maker

4.5 oz Golden Egg Nog

Dash of Maple Syrup

Add ingredients to a shaker tin with ice and shake vigorously.

Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with fresh grated nutmeg.
