PRESS RELEASE / September 29, 2021 (Weymouth, MA) – Our latest collab with Sea Bird Coffee is a beer in pursuit of a dream of the deepest, darkest stout.
We started with layers of dark German malt, chocolate wheat, and roasted barley for deep flavor and a midnight hue. Sweetness was coaxed out of select caramel malts. Oats develop creaminess that lactose takes to a logically indulgent conclusion.
We gently hopped in the kettle, then transferred to the cellar for careful fermentation. Pure maple syrup and cacao nibs keep pushing the flavor envelope. We conditioned on beans sourced in Konang Springs East Java and full of chocolate, raspberry liquor, and vanilla notes.
This boozy breakfast stout has the deep aroma of tobacco fields, campfire, molasses, and dark chocolate. Pours with a creamy cap. Each sip plumbs the fantastic depths of strong cold brew and dark chocolate ganache.
