As usual, a terrific piece of writing about what a spate of brewery closures in his home town of Portland, Oregon means and doesn’t mean. As he points out, “each failing brewery fails in its own way. Instead of trying to find a thread that links individual brewery closures, I like to think of what we’re seeing as a stress test.”
