“Feme Tropikal” Celebrates Women in Caribbean Music, Food, Culture, and Soccer

 

PRESS RELEASE / July 3, 2026 (Boston, MA) – With the FIFA World Cup in full swing and Sail Boston drawing thousands of visitors to the city, the 13th Annual Boston JerkFest turns up the Caribbean heat July 10–12 with its biggest festival yet. Expanding to three days and a larger footprint at Ohiri Soccer Field at the Harvard Athletic Complex, this year’s “Feme Tropikal” theme celebrates the powerful influence of women in Caribbean music, food, culture, and sports.

The expanded festival also introduces a new free Community Soccer Fever Fest on Sunday, July 12, celebrating women in soccer and the global spirit of the World Cup.

  • Friday, July 10, 2026, 7–10PM (VIP 6PM entry)– Rum & Brew Tasting & Concert Tasting featuring Soca Princess Nailah Blackman
  • Saturday, July 11, 2026, 11AM – 8PM – Food and Music Festival featuring Dance Hall Reggae Legend Sister Nancy and Caribbean Soca Queen Alison Hinds
  • Sunday, July 12, 12-5PM – Community Soccer Fest focusing on women in soccer (FREE)
