Local Beer, Local Food, Local Music
PRESS RELEASE / January 18, 2024 (Plymouth, MA) – On Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 12-9 pm in Plymouth, MA, Mayflower Brewing Company will host their annual Winter party with live music, local food, and 20+ beers on tap including some special barrel-aged and cellared releases for that day.
Every year when it comes time to put events on a new calendar year, the Mayflower team can’t fight the urge to throw an annual January party. In years past, they’ve celebrated their anniversaries along with Plymouth’s 400th Anniversary. But this year, as they kick off their sixteenth year brewing, they’re inspired by the thrill of checking the cellar for beers that have been aging wonderfully. The tap list for January 27th is shaping up to be a well-rounded selection of your year-round favorites, the latest limited releases, along with the following specialty beers for the event:
X (2018 Imperial Stout)
Dark Echo (2018 Imperial Stout w/ lactose, coffee, and vanilla)
Barrel Aged Dark Echo (2023 Imperial Stout w/ lactose, coffee, and vanilla)
Leather Bound Books (2022 Baltic Porter)
Rich Mahogany (2024 Barrel Aged Leather Bound Books)
Nitro Rich Mahogany (2024 Barrel Aged Leather Bound Books)
Monk’s Lunch (2024 Port Wine Barrel Aged Doppelbock)
Thanksgiving Ale (2019-2021)

Barrel Aged XV (2023 Port Wine Barrel Aged Belgian Dark Strong Ale)
Nitro Kitchen Sink (Oatmeal Stout with coffee, vanilla, maple and soaked oak chips)
Mayflower excitedly opens up the whole brewery for this community-wide event, which is free to attend. Tasty offerings from Ella’s Wood Burning Oven of Wareham and Bark BBQ of Plymouth will be available. Full band shows throughout the day will feature 90s rock and more with Mini Yellow Witches from 1-4 pm and soulful pop/rock & roll with Gracie Grace and All the Goodboys from 5-8 pm. Jeff Hilliard, a favorite among the local music scene, is no stranger to a solo gig in the Mayflower taproom. But on the 27th, he’s excited to play alongside his bandmates, Mini Yellow Witches. “We love playing at Mayflower. The staff, the people who go there, and just the overall atmosphere of the brewery are very comfortable. One of our first shows as a band was there and we always eagerly look forward to playing at Mayflower. The overall experience is friendly and fun! How could you not love a place with dogs and families all having a blast?! We are so pumped to be rockin’ the cans out of Mayflower on the 27th!” says Jeff.
