PRESS RELEASE / May 2, 2024 (Portland, OR) – Stoneman Brewery proudly announces that its Vert Frisson Saison has won in the beer category at the 2024 Good Food Awards. This award underscores the brewery’s commitment to excellence and sustainability, marking its second win after the Tractor Ryed IPA was honored in 2019.
The Vert Frisson Saison was developed in collaboration with the Forest Kitchen project. It features early spring evergreen tips from Hemlock, Fir, Spruce, White Pine, and Yellow Pine, plus a hint of dried spring nettles, giving it a unique herbal and floral profile with distinct pine notes from the fresh forest ingredients. Originally crafted as a single batch, the beer’s success and the award recognition have led to the production of a second batch later this year.
The Good Food Awards recognize the best in tasty, authentic, and responsibly produced food and drinks across the United States. Stoneman Brewery was selected through a rigorous blind tasting and sustainability vetting process among nearly 2,000 entries. The awards celebrate producers that excel in flavor while demonstrating environmental and social responsibility. This year’s event in Portland, Oregon, highlighted products from 38 states, celebrating a diverse group of crafters, including many women and BIPOC-owned businesses.
