Our annual Oktoberfest roundup will be different this year (isn’t everything). The COVID-19 pandemic has cancelled many of our favorite local events so we won’t be festing in the street while watching crazy chairs rumble down Parker Street at the The Gardner Ale House Oktoberfest Party in the Street. We won’t be at Notch drinking by the liter and noshing Karl’s Sausage. We won’t be at Sam Adams, Harpoon or Idle Hands clinking steins. And sadly, we won’t be at the Boylston Schul-Verein German-American Club in Walpole drinking traditional German beers listening to an oompah band and doing the chicken dance.
However, there are some events taking place and plenty of Oktoberfest-style beers to drink so we will attempt to provide you with the information to celebrate the season which starts September 19th and ends October 4th.
Hoist those steins and say, “Ziggy, Zaggy, Ziggy, Zaggy, Oi, Oi, Oi!”
(We will update as more information becomes available)
