PRESS RELEASE / May 20, 2024 (Boston, MA) – Night Shift Brewing and Life Alive, two urban Boston brands, have teamed up to collaborate on a new, limited release beer – The Optimist, Live Positive IPA. 

WHAT: The Optimist, Live Positive IPA is a juicy, hops-forward beer that delivers refreshing notes of watermelon, mango, toasted brown rice and chili-lime salt. Brewed on site at Night Shift’s Lovejoy Wharf location, The Optimist is Night Shift’s first beer made with organic ingredients.
The Optimist – Live Alive IPA will be available in cans and on draft starting on Tuesday, May 28. Available while supplies last.

$1 from every 4-pack will be donated to Gaining Ground, an organic, no-till farm in Concord, MA. For over 30 years, they have donated 100% of every crop to people experiencing food insecurity while prioritizing the health of the land, the staff and volunteers and all who receive their food.

To celebrate the launch of The Optimist, the chefs from Life Alive are joining the team in the Night Shift Lovejoy Wharf kitchen on Thursday, May 30. Guests can enjoy a collaborative three-course meal paired with one of the first pours of The Optimist or a Gin and (Green) Juice cocktail. The full menu includes:
