The second annual Ales & Trails Brew Fest fundraiser will take place on Saturday, September 28 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM on the lawn in front of the Shirley Meeting House at 41 Brown Road on the historic Shirley Center common. This year marks the beginning of a partnership between the Meeting House and the Holdenwood Trail Run to make this a wonderful early fall weekend in Shirley.

On Saturday at the Brew Fest, adults 21+ can enjoy craft beer and cider, food trucks and great music from The Glue Factory. Brews from Wachusett Brewery, Moon Hill Brewing, Down East Cider, As Built Brewing, Ground Effect Brewing and Bull Spit Brewing will be available for tasting. Food trucks that were a hit last year include CAPO, bringing their great Italian menu, and Zapata offering wonderful Mexican food. An added attraction this year will be desserts from Shirley’s own Bisousweet Confections. The Holdenwood Trail Run takes place the next day, September 29, with 2K, 5K and 10K races for runners and walkers of all ages.

Brew Fest admission is $15 which includes a tasting glass and sample craft beer tasting tickets, with additional tasting tickets available for purchase. Admission tickets for this 21+ event can be purchased online at www.holdenwoodtrailrun.org/tickets or at the gate.
