Cambridge Brewing Company is excited to announce the upcoming release of their latest special Barrel Cellar beer, Agave Nagila!
This strong Belgian blonde ale was aged for one year in tequila barrels with our wild yeast culture, where it picked up just a little funk and a little tartness along with some nice oak and tequila flavors. We then added Kosher salt and fresh lime zest – the Brew Crew zested 360 whole limes over the course of one looong day – before the beer was bottled and kegged. It’s an amazing beer with obvious margarita intentions, terrific balance, and a ton of fun.
We don’t often celebrate releases in this manner, but we’ve decided it would be a hoot to have an actual release party here at CBC this Friday, February 23rd. We will release Agave Nagila on tap and with bottles ready for sale at 5pm. In the spirit of the day, Chef David has created a menu of all-taco dinner specials and there will be a mariachi band (seriously!). Agave Nagila will also see bottle distribution throughout Massachusetts and limited draft around Cambridge Metro and Massachusetts. Bottles will retail at CBC for $12 each, with no limit.
