AERONAUT Arlington to launch musical beer garden series in Arlington Center!
On Saturday, July 7, we’re launching AERONAUT Arlington, a free, family- and dog-friendly summer musical beer garden series hosted by Aeronaut Brewing Company, on Saturday afternoons from July through September at Whittemore Park in Arlington Center. Whittemore Park is the green space at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Mystic Street in front of the Jefferson Cutter House (home of the Dallin Museum). The area is conveniently located by the Minuteman Commuter Bikeway in Arlington. The series will feature live music and performances by some of the best emerging local bands and musicians, food vendors at tents featuring local cuisine, and great beer and cider!
AERONAUT Arlington takes place every Saturday from 12pm to 7pm, beginning July 7. Starting in August, we plan to extend AERONAUT Arlington to include Saturdays and Sundays (both 12-7pm), with tentative plans to extend the series past August through September 29.
AERONAUT Arlington is a free, family-friendly series that is open and welcoming to all. In partnership with the town of Arlington and its Planning and Community Development Department, we strive to foster meaningful community connections, create a fun neighborhood gathering place, and provide a supportive platform for emerging artists and musicians from Arlington and beyond. This will be a fun, vibrant location smack dab in the middle of town, and fulfills the goal of economic revitalization and the Arts & Culture Action Plan to activate under-utilized Town properties with programs and events.
We’ll be partnering with community organizations including Arlington Bike Advisory Committee, Arlington Center for the Arts, and the Dallin Museum. Some local merchants plan to offer special promotions to beer garden patrons who come to their business wearing their beer garden wristband. A listing of those promotions will also be available to beer garden patrons in order to encourage them to shop at local businesses and dine at local restaurants.
We’ve welcomed thousands of thirsty culture fans over the past two summers at other beer gardens including our popular pop-up at Zone 3 in Allston, and look forward to working in this exciting new location. It’s a great way to spend your Saturday – bike out and spend the day with friends, family and neighbors – we’ll see you in Arlington!
