Western Mass. Beer Week
About Us
Western Mass Beer Week was founded by a small group of local industry professionals and enthusiasts. Western Mass Beer Week is a grassroots collaborative effort driven by the breweries and craft beer-focused venues in the region.
Mission
Our mission is to call attention to Western Massachusetts as a beer destination and to develop a synergy that stitches together the breweries, beer venues and all of the diverse happenings that encompass our region’s beer scene.
Core Values
Western Mass Beer Week operates under a core set of values that we believe strongly coincides with the modus operandi of our region: keep it local, support small business, and promote your neighbor. Not only have our participants committed to host at least one event featuring local beer, more than half of the participants are in fact local breweries. Brewers have made collaborative beers together. Venues are hosting local beer dinners and special events. We expect to see brewhouse staff and bar employees attending one another's events. Beer is culture and beer is social -- consider Western Mass Beer Week a week-long four-county-wide block party!
