Notch Traveling Biergarten at Castle Hill

June 23, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Back by popular demand! The Trustees and Notch Brewing are partnering up again to bring you another series of family-friendly outdoor Biergartens. Relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of their gardens, farms, historic homes, and parks throughout the summer while enjoying one of Notch’s session beers. Not just for grown-ups and beer drinkers – modeled after the popular European style Biergartens, it’s a family affair. Scavenger hunts and quests for children, property tours for adults, plus lawn games with plenty of room to spread out and explore for all.

Founded in 2010 and influenced by German and Czech biergartens that serve as community hubs for all ages, Notch Brewery is known for its popular session beer and its recently opened, family-friendly tap room and biergarten located in downtown Historic Salem. The first brewing company in the U.S. to focus exclusively on the lighter, lower alcohol session style beer, Notch Brewery is community-focused and supports the local food movement by sourcing its barley and malt from Hadley, MA.

Join Notch Brewing at Castle Hill for a summery Sunday afternoon biergarten with views of the ocean off their Grand Allee! Enjoy an afternoon picnic and family friendly activities.

The Great House will be open from 10 AM to 7 PM for house tours (additional ticket fee applies) and their Grab-and-Go cafe will be open during that time if you would like to purchase a picnic on-site. A food truck will also be available as a dining option.

This event is free with property admission. Standard admission fees apply.
Member Admission: FREE
Nonmember Admission: $15/car, $5/motorcycle, $2/bike and pedestrian.
