Kevin was brewed to celebrate the life of Kevin Lynch, the brother-in-law of Grace (one of the founders). Born and raised in South Philly, Kevin lost his battle with ALS in April.

On Wednesday, August 4th they will be releasing the beer in the Taproom in cans and on draft. To make the day even more special, they will be welcoming their friends from Odyssey’s for a Pop-Up Philly Cheesesteak night. You can buy a ticket for the event now for $25 that covers your first beer of the evening, a cheesesteak and a small donation to ALS TDI by visiting shop.idlehandscraftales.com. Or you can simply show up and pay as you go. Taproom opens at 3pm, Odyssey’s will be set up by 5pm.

Every year, brewers from around the country gather together at Yakima Chief Hops and create a blend of hops to be used in the Ales for ALS program. These hops are then given to breweries who commit to donating $1 per pint to the ALS TDI. This year, Idle Hands will be donating 100% of the proceeds from Kevin to the institute. Come by next Wednesday, August 4th and enjoy a Philly cheesesteak and beer in Kevin’s honor and help them fight this terrible disease.
