West Springfield’s first craft brewery launches retail sales December 1

PRESS RELEASE / November 28, 2018 (WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA) – After years of hard work and dedication, Two Weeks Notice Brewing Company, West Springfield’s first and only craft brewery located at 110 Bosworth Street, will host its long-awaited opening on Saturday, December 1, 2018. The brewery will be offering three varieties of beer this week and will continue to offer can sales on Saturdays until their tap room is finished and opened.

The first week’s offerings include West Side Big Slide, a 7.3% IPA brewed with Vic Secret, Citra an Motueka hops giving it flavor of passion fruit, pine and melon which is named for their new home in West Springfield. Resignation IPA, a 6.8% IPA and one of the brewery’s original recipes, tweaked over time to arrive to a beer bursting with flavors of mango, orange peel and piney resinous aroma. The final offering is an Imperial Stout coming in at 8% ABV – a well-balanced stout with notes of chocolate and roasted coffee with a smooth creamy finish and named Bumby Love in honor of a close friend of the brewery who passed away unexpectedly- a true lover of dark beers and a supporter of Two Weeks Notice from its early days.

“We really can’t wait. This day has been such a long, long time coming and it almost seems like it isn’t real,” said Mark Avery, head brewer and co-founder of Two Weeks Notice.“We are so happy to be opening and so excited for everyone who has been behind us all this time to be able to come and see what we have been up to. This whole experience has been challenging and sometime extremely frustrating, but we found our family of friends in this industry and the love and support up to this point is overwhelming. We plan to celebrate and take it all in; it’s finally happening. We have nerves and some anxiety of course, but we know it will all work out. Any hiccups will be ironed out each week as we learn what will work best for us and our visitors. This is just the beginning, but we are beyond excited to finally kick this thing off.”

Two Weeks Notice was originally founded by Avery and his wife, Meghan “Murph” Avery, now with the backing of their business partner and Co-Owner Derek Upson. “Without Derek, this would have been a lot harder – maybe even impossible – so of course we are extremely happy he wanted to take a chance and partner with us,” said Avery.

Staffed by friends and family volunteering their time to make its debut a success, the brewery will officially open for business with can sales starting at 12 p.m. and continuing until all cans are sold. From the looks of the event page, there may very well be a crowd so get there early and get your allotment!

Pricing and limits will be announced prior to Saturday’s opening on the company’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/twoweeksnoticebrewco). A limited supply of merchandise such as T-shirts, glassware, hats, and stickers will also be available for purchase and label designer Eric Clarke will be displaying his artwork in the retail area. Cash is the preferred payment method to ensure expedited service, but all major credit cards will be accepted.

Patrons of Two Weeks Notice are asked to park on the Bosworth Street side of the building where their lot is located. No parking is available and there is no entry for the public on the Baldwin Street side of the brewery currently. Borsari Oil Service, Inc., located directly across the street at 107 Bosworth Street, has graciously offered to accommodate overflow parking. Two Weeks Notice asks all patrons to please be respectful of neighbors and only park in allowed areas.
