November 11-12th Stoneman Brewery will be releasing some special beer for the Crafts Of Colrain Open Studio Tour from 10-5pm @ 20 Stetson Bro Rd Colrain.  This is also Stoneman Brewery’s 4 Year Anniversary event so come on up and take a tour to see the studio brewery that started Western MA 1st Beer CSA creating over 100 different beers.

Beer Descriptions …

All in With Western Ma Hops 7% abv… this is a Northeast Style IPA  brewed with 100% Four Star Farms Hops which are all added after the boil and in dry hopping in the fermentor to create a Low Bitterness IPA.  They use Valley Malt’s Red Wheat and Pilsner malt and also some flaked Organic grain from Maine Grain Co-op.  Most of the hop flavor comes from dry hopping with 3 pounds per barrel (a lot) of Rakkau Hops which is a very earthy and mellow… They have been brewing nearly 50 barrels a month of this beer and it is the first batch that Stoneman has put into cans…

ZzzIPA..8% abv… this is a Northeast Style IPA brewed with MA grown hops (Four Stars first batch of Crystal), Australian and New Zealand Hops all added at the end of the boil, in the whirlpool and dry hopped to create a low bitterness easy drinking beer.  They use Valley Malt’s Pilsner and Triticale Wheat, Maine Grain Co-op organic flaked Glenn wheat and a little sugar to boost the alcohol up to 8%…. This is the FIRST RELEASE of this 50 barrel batch and they are planning to brew again in a few weeks so this new beer will be available until the new year…

King Korby Imperial Stout 9% abv… This small 10 barrel batch is brewed with 100% Four Star Farms Hops and over 50% Valley Malt’s grain including Pilsner, specialty roasted barley, Medium Crystal, and Chocolate Rye.  They used some Belgian candy Sugar to boost the alcohol so that they would have a easy drinking roast Imperial Stout just in time for the cold weather.  This beer will age very well so stock up before the limited release is gone.

UPCOMING BEER RELEASE…

They are very excited about this years BeeZerker which we brewed a 10 barrel batch of… it is a 10% Belgian inspired Braggot brewed with 100% Deerfield’s own Warm Colors Apiary Wildflower Honey, 100% Four Star Farms cascade and tea maker hops,  50% Valley Malts Pilsner and Triticale wheat and a blend of un malted flaked organic grain from Maine Grain co-op… Belgian Golden Ale yeast gives this strong ale a smooth drinkability that is good to drink immediately or age for 3-4 years in the cellar…  It will be available before Thanksgiving and is bottled in 22 oz glass… They are not sure on the price exactly but message me for more info or stay tuned to the next newsletter to buy directly from Stoneman…
