Ipswich Oktoberfest

September 28, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

$15

The Ipswich Ale Brewery and its Brewer’s Table Restaurant are gearing up for a block-party style Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, September 28th, 12 – 6pm. The brewery is shutting down the street directly in front of the building at 2 Brewery Place in downtown Ipswich for the day to accommodate a large tent with communal seating, a tapmobile, food truck, and live Oompah music by the Ipswich Beer Garden Brass Band (12 – 2pm), and the Mad Bavarians (2 – 6pm). Guests are strongly encouraged to don dirndls and lederhosen for the day – there will be prizes for the best-dressed man, woman, and dog. There will also be a male and female stein-hoisting competition (~4:30pm), and opportunities to win prizes throughout the day: check the bottom of your cup! If your cup has a special festival stamp, you’ll be able to spin the “wheel of awesome” to win prizes like: Ipswich Oatmeal Stout mustard, magnetic bottle openers, and gift cards to the Craft Beer Cellar.

Advanced tickets can be purchased for $15. Ticket price includes a limited edition glass Oktoberfest mug and first pour. Day-of admission with mug and pour is $18. Additional drinks and food is pay-as-you-consume. Admission to the beer garden without a mug is $5.

The Brewer’s Table Restaurant will be adding traditional German dishes to its regular menu starting Thursday, September 26th. Ursula Corbin, Austrian native and longtime friend to the restaurant’s General Manager, Myles Eason, will be lending her culinary expertise to help create authentic German dishes such as: kartoffelpuffer, rouladen, spätzle, bratwurst, and sauerkraut.
