PRESS RELEASE / (Cambridge, MA) May 4, 2018 – Freepoint Hotel is launching a series of pop-up events in its Secret Garden that is an extension of Freepoint Kitchen & Cocktails by Matthew Gaudet. The terrace offers a truly unique urban al fresco dining space in that it is enclosed within the interior space of the hotel lobby, so guests are not disturbed by the hustle and bustle of city life. Freepoint Hotel has planned a series of special events to run from May – September 2018.

Nightshift Brewing Tap Takeover, Wednesday May 16, 7-9 pm
Freepoint will be pouring 4 artisan craft beers from Nightshift Brewing: Whirlpool, the New England pale ale that’s a World Beer Cup winner; Santilli, the American IPA; and get ready to sample 2 spring season limited releases: Ever Weisse and One Hop This Time: Simcoe. Chef Matthew Gaudet is preparing a special menu that pairs with the flavor profiles in the beers, and as part of Freedom Hour, which is hosted every weeknight, Freepoint Kitchen and Cocktails will be offering half price flatbreads and appetizers until 8 pm.
In June, July, and August, as part of this series, Freepoint will be hosting a tasting of “boozy” ice cream drinks and treats with Gus Rancatore, owner of Toscanini’s Ice Cream, an urban gardening class with Green City Growers, an artist’s demonstration with Maud Morgan Arts, and a kids’ cooking class with Kids’ Test Kitchen.
